George was born in the year of the Tiger. No wonder why he is brave, self-confident and well-liked by others. Tigers are suited for careers such as advertising agents, office managers, actors, writers, artists and comedians. For George, he is all of the above.
After graduating from one of Europe’s oldest and most famous design college in England, George started his advertising career in Hong Kong, where he held several senior creative positions at J. Walter Thompson (JWT). His impressive track record and experiences gained from working with some of the biggest brands in the world such as Nike, Shell Oil, Nestle, Citibank, Ford Motors, Rolex and China Southern Airlines.
Under George’s leadership, Captus Advertising is now one of the most awarded creative multicultural advertising and marketing agencies in Canada.
Jacky has always been an artist at heart. In his classroom days he would rather be doodling than taking notes. His first job in the communications industry was at Harmony Airways, where he was able to combine his skills in design with his interest in airplanes. He was, in fact, the one who designed their aircraft livery.
At Captus, Jacky creates and directs a wide range of project design in both interactive and advertising fields. Clients include the Vancouver Aquarium, ICBC, China Airlines, Citistar Financial and Bosa Properties. He is more than a graphic designer to us at Captus as he is the creative who brings our ideas to life.
Han is an energetic and ambitious young advertising professional. Growing up in China and Canada, she acquired a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
As an Account Executive, Han coordinates integrated media campaigns and develops estimates, budgets and timelines for all stages of a given project. In every situation, she stays a step ahead, infuses fresh ideas and adds value to the client’s business. With a passion for learning, she consistently reaches out and reflects to past experiences for self-betterment.
Han loves working with fun people and thrives under pressure. If you ever need a pick me up she always has chocolate at her work station and is looking for someone to join her for a Yyoga class!
Yuii graduated from Curtin University of Technology in Australia with a degree in Marketing and Advertising. She later earned a degree in Economics from Simon Fraser University. Yuii’s educational background is blended with two distinct, seemingly opposite attributes, creativity and rationality.
She worked as a marketing executive at Sing Tao News Corporation in Hong Kong and at Ming Pao Newspapers in Vancouver. These experiences not only made her an expert in print media advertising and marketing, but also equipped her with skills such as, event management, client relations and media writing.
Rachel is currently a third year student at the Queen’s School of Business intending to specialize in Marketing and Public Relations. Growing up in a multicultural environment has taught her to embrace diversity at a young age. A true appreciation for cultural dynamics has shaped her character as well as how she approaches tasks and people.
Last summer, she was a Marketing & Communications intern at Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza hotel in Taipei, Taiwan. Through this experience, she learned about working in a multicultural environment and realized her passion for marketing and public relations. This summer she is ecstatic about this opportunity at Captus as an account management intern to introduce her to the world of advertising.
A true Aquarius, Ambika, carves her own path with creativity and unbeatable zest. With 8 years of communication expertise across varied industries, she has acquired specialization in strategic campaign planning, crisis management and new business development. Ambika has worked with some of the most prestigious Public Relations companies in the world – Burson-Marsteller, Publicis Groupe.
Her past clients have been world renowned brands such as Alcott, Boggi Milano, DKNY, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, National Geographic Channel, adidas, United Colors of Benetton, MTV, Hard Rock Cafe, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti.
Ambika has been the recipient of a few industry specific awards including a representation of a campaign that she led, at the Cannes Advertising Festival 2009, PR Lions.
She is a Masters graduate in Global Management from Royal Roads University in Canada.
